Our story

truly indian, truly family

चव means taste — and everything at CHAV, from the morning mandi run to the last ember in the tandoor, exists to honour it.

Our story
from our family to yours

  1. Fresh every day

    Sourced at sunrise

Vegetables from the morning mandi, paneer set fresh in-house, masalas ground by hand. Nothing frozen, nothing shortcut — that is what चव (chav, 'taste') demands.

  2. Authentic technique

    Fire, clay & patience

Our tandoor is lit before the first guest arrives and glows till the last one leaves. Charcoal smoke, slow dum and family recipes do the rest.

  3. Open-sky dining

    Dinner under the open sky

No ceilings, no rush. Stone fountains, fairy lights, moonlight and the evening breeze of Indore — a garden built for long dinners and longer conversations.

  4. Truly a family place

    A table for every family

Birthdays, anniversaries, Sunday rituals. With a kids' play corner and banquet lawns, CHAV was made to hold your celebrations — big and small.

…and the story is seasoned fresh, every single evening.

Guest love
in their own words

The Paneer Angara is genuinely the smokiest in Indore. Sitting under the open sky with fairy lights everywhere — it doesn't feel like a restaurant, it feels like a celebration.

Celebrated my son's birthday here. The team decorated everything, the kids' play area kept the little ones busy, and the food came out hot and fast. Perfect family place.

Beautiful garden seating with stone fountains and moonlight. The tandoori platter and dum biryani were outstanding. Service felt like eating at a relative's home.

Loved the ambience and the butter naan is a must. Gets busy on weekends — that says everything about how good this place is. Booking a table in advance helps.

Hosted a family function on their banquet lawn. Sixty guests, thalis served warm, and every elder in the family approved — which is the toughest rating there is.
